PBAT is a
semi-crystalline polymer, belonging to the thermoplastic biodegradable plastic,
the copolymer of adipate and terephthalate, combining the excellent degradation
properties of aliphatic polyester and the good mechanical properties of
aromatic polyester. It is one of the most active and best biodegradable
materials in the research of biodegradable plastics.
Characteristics of
both PBA and PBT, good toughness, high elongation but low strength; excellent
physical properties, heat resistance and impact resistance; easy to be
decomposed by microorganisms, and has good degradation performance. Suitable
for biodegradable packaging films; biodegradable packaging bags, including
shopping bags, rolled garbage bags, pet feces bags, electronic packaging bags,
food bags, mulch, etc.
